Inky Arrows Privacy Policy
Effective 8 November 2026.
Who we are
Inky Arrows is made by Senalume Studios, who is responsible for the data described here. Contact: support@senalume.com, senalume.com.
What stays on your phone
Your progress, coins, items, settings, Drift Ranks name, avatar and purchase receipts are saved on your device so the game works. Apart from what Drift Ranks publishes (below), they are not sent to us. If Android backup is turned on, Google may copy them into your own device backup.
Drift Ranks (the leaderboard)
When you open Drift Ranks, the game signs in to Google Firebase with an anonymous account (no email or password) and publishes your Drift Ranks name (chosen from the game's own word lists), your avatar (one of the game's own pictures) and your star total. Everyone who plays can see this entry. Firebase stores it for us as our service provider.
Ads and your choices
The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google's ad software collects your device's advertising ID and app set ID, your IP address (used to estimate an approximate location), how you interact with ads, and diagnostic data. It uses them to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before ads are requested. If you say no, you may still see ads, but not personalised ones. Players in some US states can opt out of personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options, and reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Google uses this data under its own policies: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Purchases
Google Play processes payments; we never see your payment details. The game keeps a receipt of each purchase on your phone so that every item is delivered exactly once. The receipt is not sent to us.
Why we use data (legal bases in the EEA and UK)
- Running the game and saving your progress: necessary to provide the game (contract).
- Drift Ranks: to provide the leaderboard you open (contract) and to keep it fair (legitimate interests).
- Personalised ads: your consent.
- Non-personalised ads: our legitimate interest in funding a free game.
- Answering your requests: our legal obligations.
How long we keep it
- On your phone: until you delete it or uninstall the game.
- Your Drift Ranks entry and anonymous account: until you delete them, or we close Drift Ranks.
- Ad data: under Google's retention policies.
- Emails to us: as long as we need to handle your request.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete my data removes your Drift Ranks entry and anonymous account, then everything the game saved on your phone. It needs an internet connection.
It can't reach Google's ad data (use the controls above), your Google Play purchase history, or the Drift Ranks entry of an earlier install that you removed without deleting. For that entry, email support@senalume.com with your Drift Ranks name and roughly how many stars you had, and we will delete it within 30 days. After a deletion, Google Play restores Remove Ads; coins you bought are not restored.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, the UK and US states such as California), you can ask us to access, correct, delete or give you a copy of your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email support@senalume.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
We don't sell personal data for money. Letting Google use your advertising ID for personalised ads may count as "sharing" under some US state laws; you can opt out in Settings → Privacy options. In the last 12 months we collected identifiers (advertising ID, the anonymous Drift Ranks id, your Drift Ranks name), internet activity (ad interactions) and approximate location, for the purposes above. We use no sensitive personal information.
Children
Inky Arrows is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If a child's Drift Ranks entry is published, email us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Google may process data in the United States and elsewhere, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK addendum).
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). The leaderboard's rules let each anonymous account change only its own entry.
Changes
We will post any update here with a new effective date, and mention important changes in the game.
